Service intervals are common to all the Ducati range. The major differences are between 2-Valve and 4-Valve Engines.

600 mile Service

• Engine oil and oil filter change
• Chassis service
• Electrical check

6,000 mile service (1^st Annual)

• Top end Engine inspection (assessing rocker wear)
• Inspect and adjust valve clearances
• Re-tension Timing belts
• Engine oil and oil filter change
• Air filter change
• Fuel filter and fuel tank o-ring change
• Spark plug replacement
• Chassis service: Nut and bolt check etc... Also checking all known problem and recall areas.
• Brake service: remove and clean pads. Inspect/clean calipers. Rebuild with anti squeal paste.
• Clutch service
• Replace brake and clutch fluids
• Electrical check

12,000 mile service (2^nd Annual)

• As 6000 mile service, plus the following
• Crank nut check (due to thread lock going off and nut vibrating loose)
• Replace timing belts

Whilst this is the recommended maintenance schedule from Ducati, MD Racing conducts several extra check and modifications during the service. These are common problem areas that can be eliminated by preventative maintenance.

First Annual 6,000 mile service costs for 4 valve engine bikes cost in the region of £480-530 inclusive

Second Annual 12,000 mile service costs for 4 valve engine bikes cost in the region of £580-620 inclusive, depending of the number of valve clearances adjusted.
Recommended by Ducati at every 2^nd Annual service is, the Crank nut check @ £45 inclusive
